Dear Parents/carers,

We are really looking forward to this year’s Parental Involvement Week. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to come in and take part in what your child or other children are learning about at our school.

The topics that classes will be looking at during Parental Involvement Week this year will be:

If you would like to come into your child’s class to help with activities, please see your class teacher.

We would love you to come in and share your knowledge and experiences of any of the above countries, even if your child is not in that particular year group. This could be anything from suggesting recipes or helping with cooking, to coming in and showing photographs, telling stories, showing clothes and objects from these countries. Please write on the form below what you would be happy to do, and which year group you would like to help. Or you can tell someone in the school office.

We will be celebrating all we have learnt throughout the week in a carnival on Friday. The children will be in the playground (weather permitting) showing their work. In the junior hall there will be stalls set up with food from different countries. Last year the turn out was amazing, as was the food you all provided. It would be fantastic to have the same response this year. We will have stalls to represent the countries we are studying, but would love to welcome food from any other culture or country.
